Adelaide Zoo is home to more than 2,500 animals and 250 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles and fish exhibited over eight hectares of magnificent botanic surroundings. Opened to the public in 1883, Adelaide Zoo is the second oldest zoo in the nation and represents a significant part of South Australia’s heritage and social history. It is also the only major metropolitan zoo in Australia to be owned and operated by a conservation charity, Zoos SA. NOT as good as Monarto in SA nor other Australian Zoos. Some of the older animals are now dying off. The pandas aren't anything special. They sleep most of the time and don't move. Go to Monarto. Full review by Travel824034

I always say go first thing in the morning as it takes time to get all around the Adelaide zoo. wear good comfortable shoes. spring is the best time of year to go for our weather but if going in summer definitely in the morning for your own comfort and the animals as well.
