British fashion designer Kim Jones is stepping down as artistic director for menswear at Christian Dior, the LVMH-owned label said on Friday, signalling a potential shift in its design approach as the brand struggles with slowing sales.

After seven years at the creative helm, Kim Jones is leaving Dior Homme, the house announced in a statement. Jones’ departure comes hot on the heels of his Dior AW25 menswear show, which critics declared one of the standout shows of the men's season.

The House of Dior wishes to express its deepest gratitude to Kim Jones,” read the statement, “who has accelerated the development of Men’s collections internationally and has greatly contributed to the worldwide influence of the House by creating an inspiring wardrobe that is both classic and contemporary,

His last show for the house was followed not only by rave reviews but also a knighthood: the British designer was awarded France’s highest distinction, the chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur.
