Much of Massachusetts could see as much as a foot of snow fall during Saturday night's snowstorm. Here's when the storm might start and what it means for travel.

More than 6 inches of snow is possible across Massachusetts this weekend, according to the National Weather Service’s Boston office.

The map I’ve put together for snowfall totals has a fairly wide range of 4 to 8 inches. During Saturday, after we get even more information, I’ll try to start honing that down to see whether we’re going to be closer to the 4 inches or closer to 8 inches.
