New York Yankees right-hander Clarke Schmidt exited his start on Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays after experiencing forearm tightness, the club announced. Yankees manager Aaron Boone opted for reliever Clayton Beeter to replace Schmidt on the mound.

As if the Yankees did not have enough problems on their hands, Clarke Schmidt walked off the mound after three innings.

Three losses in three games had already made this a nightmarish trip north of the border for the Yankees. Then Clarke Schmidt’s evening ended early on Thursday, the right-hander removed after three innings at Rogers Centre due to tightness in his right forearm.
