Tornadoes in the South and Midwest overnight and early Saturday left 12 dead in Missouri. More tornadoes are forecast through Sunday.

At least 13 people are dead after severe weather hit parts of Missouri and Arkansas overnight, officials said. Ten storm-related fatalities were reported in the Missouri counties of Ozark, Butler, Wayne and Jefferson,

At least 36 people have died across seven states as powerful storm systems swept through the Midwest and South. The storms have left hundreds of thousands of customers without power, injured dozens in Arkansas and caused fatalities linked to wildfires in Oklahoma.
