A number of Republican lawmakers are souring on President Donald Trump’s plans to accept a luxury Boeing 747 aircraft as a gift from Qatar — a rare series of rebukes of the president by his allies in Congress.

The clip, recorded in 2017 at the height of the Saudi-led blockade of Qatar, directly contradicts Trump's current praise for the country's leadership.

Trump is ready to ditch the old 747 known as Air Force One in favor of a luxe jet that the royal family of Qatar wants to gift to the U.S.

ABC News reported on Sunday that Trump was ready to accept a super luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from the royal family of Qatar that can be used as Air Force One. The report was met with swift criticism from Democrats and even some MAGA loyalists, with many calling the gift a “bribe.”
