Xander Bogaerts of the San Diego Padres had a home run overturned due to fan interference, and manager Mike Shildt was ejected for coming out of the dugout to talk to the umpires in the second inning

The Padres’ losing streak reached four games in part as a result of the play reversal. San Diego dropped to two games out of first place.

It probably happened again for thousands of fans in San Diego's Petco Park on Monday night. Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts sent a deep fly to left field that ended up in the seats and was initially ruled a home run. It appeared to have slipped out of Giants left fielder Heliot Ramos ' glove and into the seats.
