After hosting Carson Wentz on a visit over the weekend, the Vikings signed him on Sunday morning to presumably be the next man up behind J.J. McCarthy.

The Vikings' swap of Sam Howell for Carson Wentz signals another quarterback, Brett Rypien, could be cut in the coming days.

That move was waiving safety Lewis Cine, the Vikings’ first-round pick in 2022. Cine joined the Eagles' practice squad after being cut by the Vikings last August. He only played 10 defensive snaps for the Vikings in his disappointing tenure.
