On Dec. 25, 1963, Roxbury-MGM unveiled the 135-minute film The Prize, starring Paul Newman, Edward G. Robinson and Elke Sommer.
Robinson returned to the stage for several years and then went on to act in more than 40 films. Somehow befittingly, his last role came in the cult classic b-movie Soylent Green (1973).
