At least one person was killed and several more were injured in a suspected car ramming in the west German city of Mannheim on Monday, police said. A suspect was identified and arrested, Mannheim Police said in a statement, adding that "no further, reliable information can currently be released."

Police would not immediately characterize the incident as an attack, but cars have been used as deadly weapons in recent months in Germany.
