Early signs point toward the Hawkeyes being the favorites to win a national title again in 2026. The path to a third consecutive national championship might have some new obstacles, though, especially with the NCAA taking over administration of the sport.

Here’s betting that wasn’t quite what the Iowa men’s wrestling team had in mind before heading east to Evanston (IL)… Two weeks ago, this was group that finished its regular season on an incredible high – taking down #2 Oklahoma State in front of a raucous Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

CORALVILLE - Iowa women's wrestling has done it again. The Hawkeyes have clinched their second National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships team title in as many years of competition. Iowa secured the title with 145-pound wrestler Macey Kilty's win over former Hawkeye (and current North Central College wrestler) Bella Mir.

The Iowa women’s wrestling team totaled 201.5 team points and secured its second consecutive NCWWC National Championship on Saturday evening. The Hawkeyes ended the weekend with 15 All-Americans and three national champions.

The NCAA announced the 46 at-large selections for the 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Kansas City.
