A 20-year-old Temple University student from Maryland was shot and killed Thursday night near the university’s campus in North Philadelphia by another student who is now charged with murder, police said.

A Temple University student was shot and killed Thursday night by a fellow student, according to the institution's president.

The suspected shooter was arrested at the scene – a short distance from the university's main campus. Investigators say they recovered two guns and a bag of drugs.
