FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots are releasing wide receivers Kendrick Bourne and Javon Baker, according to a league source. The moves come a day after the team kept Bourne and Baker on its initial 53-man roster.

The Patriots agreed to the request, ending Bourne's run in New England. Bourne was in the second year of a three-year, $19.5 million deal that included $5.5 million in guaranteed money. His numbers dipped last season when returning from a torn ACL injury he suffered the previous year.
