Laguna Beach authorities issued evacuation orders for some residents living near the Rancho Fire. The city urged residents living on La Mirada Street, Katella Street, Summit Drive and Baja Street to evacuate. An evacuation warning was issued to the Arch Beach Heights neighborhood.

A brush fire started in Laguna Beach around 2:16 p.m. Monday and was threatening structures, prompting officials to order evacuations. “The following areas need to evacuate due to an active fire: La Mirada Street, Katella Street and Summit Drive,” the city of Laguna Beach said in a notice to residents.

Evacuation orders were issued in Laguna Beach after a brush fire, dubbed the Rancho fire, ignited in a hilly area of the city Monday afternoon, authorities said.
