The champion returns to take over Independence Day as Joey Chestnut will compete in this year's Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Joey Chestnut is a champion once again. On Friday, July 4, Chestnut won his 17th Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest. The 41-year-old devoured 70.5 hot dogs and buns into his mouth in just 10 minutes.

Chestnut bested 14 fellow competitors from across the U.S. and internationally, including Australia, the Czech Republic, Ontario, England and Brazil.
