LeBron James suffered a left knee injury after colliding with the Minnesota Timberwolves' Donte Dincenzo during the Los Angeles Lakers' season-ending Game 5 loss on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

With the Minnesota Timberwolves eliminating the Los Angeles Lakers from the NBA playoffs on Wednesday with a 103-96 Game 5 win, the question immediately on everyone’s mind was will LeBron James retire?

The regular-season rivalry wasn't very much of a rivalry, as the Celtics won all four matchups. Boston won the first three games by 23, 27 and 13 points, respectively, before taking the final showdown, 119-117, in overtime back on April 8 in New York.

The Celtics, which earned the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference and beat Orlando in five games to advance, face the Knicks in the second round of the NBA playoffs after New York beat Detroit, 4-2, to advance. The Celtics’ second-round series will open at TD Garden on Monday, with Game 2 to follow in Boston on Wednesday.
