City officials say a total of 67 people (49 adults and 18 children) are displaced. The Red Cross says their disaster volunteers are working with 56 of those residents. The fire was placed under control at 6:10 a.m. Along with Newark, firefighters from Montclair, East Orange, Bloomfield and Jersey City were called in for mutual aid.
