HARRISBURG – Eleven days after Gov. Josh Shapiro sued the White House to unfreeze billions in federal funding for Pennsylvania, the money is flowing again.
Governor Josh Shapiro says the state once again has access to more than $2 billion of federal money that had been frozen last month by the Trump administration. The announcement Monday comes days after Shapiro attended an event last week at the White House.
It's still not clear if the Philadelphia Eagles will be visiting the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl win, but one Kansas City Chiefs player has already gotten to make the trip to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Despite planning to send a contingency of players and personnel, the White House rescinded the invitation the night before the visit was scheduled. While individual players will be allowed to make their own decisions once again, the Eagles will be making the trek to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Police said the two were part of a group shooting at Pennsylvania State Police during a high speed 40 mile chase.
