Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels came into the game red hot after posting 268 yards and two touchdowns on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round. Daniels' electric play continued into the Divisional Round, as he posted 299 yards and two touchdowns on one of the NFL's best defensive units.

Daniels threw two touchdown passes to lead the Commanders to a win at Tampa Bay, becoming the fourth rookie quarterback in the SB era to win a road playoff start.

Daniels, the dual-threat dynamo behind the Washington Commanders ’ rapid turnaround, and Nix, whose steady playmaking turned the Denver Broncos into one of the league’s biggest surprises, are only the fourth pair of rookie quarterbacks to make the playoffs in the same season after serving as full-time starters.

The Commanders, 4-13 a season ago, are one win from the Super Bowl after upsetting the top-seeded Lions on their home field.
