The crew over at NBA were tossing around the idea of Mike Brown possibly joining the Knicks, and Marc Spears jumped in with a little inside scoop. He said he actually talked to Brown and warned him, “Man, there’s a lot of pressure with this gig it’s a whole different beast.” But Brown didn’t even flinch. He said, “I love it. I want this.”

A person with knowledge of the details says the New York Knicks have offered their coaching job to Mike Brown and are working to finalize a deal with the two-time NBA Coach of the Year.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Knicks decided to move ahead with the recently-fired Sacramento Kings coach, and seeing as how he was reportedly the only candidate to receive multiple interviews, it sure seems like New York was running out of backup plans.
