Liverpool are set to step up their pre-season preparations on Sunday (July 20) when they fly out to Hong Kong for the start of their 10-day tour of Asia. The Reds will face AC Milan on July 26, before then travelling to Japan where they will face local side Yokohoma F Marinos on July 30.
Liverpool have made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt over a possible move for Hugo Ekitike, who is also being targeted by Newcastle United. The Athletic reported on July 14 that Newcastle tried to secure Ekitike via an offer worth around €75million (£64.9m; $86.9m), which was turned down by Frankfurt.
