Mayor Cherelle Parker says she is not discouraged as Philadelphia City Council hearings have gone underway on the Sixers' plan to build an arena in Center City.

During round two of public hearings on the proposed 76ers arena, the Sixers development team testified in front of Philadelphia City Council.

Philadelphia City Council has final say on whether a Sixers arena in Center City will become a reality. There's a lot of uncertainty among councilmembers over whether the $1.3 billion project will help or hurt the city.

Tuesday was a step in making the proposed Sixers arena a reality as City Council held its first public hearing.
