The state softball tournament in Oxford has met its midway point heading into action on Wednesday. Class 1A and 4A will begin play to decide who takes home a title on Thursday, while 3A and 7A will crown champions and finish their seasons. Check back frequently for updates. OU softball pitcher Sophia Bordi released a statement Tuesday via social media, a week after Sooners coach Patty Gasso told reporters Bordi was absent from the team. Gasso said Bordi went home and didn't finish the season due to a "personal situation.
