Stephen King made a surprise return to X on Feb. 20 to tell off President Trump and Elon Musk, the latter of which owns the social media platform. Three months ago, the horror icon announced he was leaving X in the aftermath of Trump being reelected U.S. president. King has called Bluesky his social media home since then.

Stephen King has returned to the social media site X just three months after shutting his account down. In November 2024, the famous horror author, 77, slammed the Elon Musk-owned platform for being ‘too toxic’ and deleted a number of his tweets.
