Huge fires erupted in the Moscow region as officials claimed that the Russian capital and surrounding area were hit by a drone strike. Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, wrote on Telegram on November 10: "The air defence forces of the Ministry of Defense in the Ramenskoye urban district repelled an attack by two drones flying to Moscow.

Ukraine attacked Moscow on Sunday with at least 34 drones, the biggest drone strike on the Russian capital since the start of the war in 2022, forcing flights to be diverted from three of the city's major airports and injuring at least one person.

Drone attacks were launched on the Bryansk region in the south of Russia overnight as the Ukrainian port city of Odesa suffered widespread damage from Russian strikes. Russian air defences intercepted and destroyed a number of Ukrainian drones over the southern Bryansk region, the regional governor Alexander Bogomaz said early on Saturday morning.

Russia downed 34 Ukrainian drones targeting Moscow on Sunday, the defence ministry said, in the largest attack on the capital since Russia began its offensive in Ukraine in 2022.
