NFL Network's Tom Pelissero says he 'wouldn't put it against' Saints rookie Tyler Shough to win a QB competition and start in September.

Saints quarterback Derek Carr stated publicly for the first time that he has a shoulder injury, but stopped short of disclosing any specifics about how or when it happened, or how it might affect his availability to play during the coming season.

"Like the (New York Giants), the New Orleans Saints drafted a quarterback other than Sanders early. They used the 40th overall pick on Louisville's Tyler Shough," Knox said. "The selection made plenty of sense.

Shedeur Sanders was not the only prospect to receive a prank call during the NFL draft. Kyle McCord, the former Syracuse quarterback who was taken by the Eagles last weekend, told Philadelphia-area media that someone tried to prank him while the draft was ongoing.

After a few days of facing no consequences for prank calling Shedeur Sanders, the NFL handed out its punishments to more than one party.
