On Thursday, the Supreme Court will take up a case that could decide how quickly President Donald Trump can implement his second term agenda as it hears arguments about nationwide injunctions that allow a single judge to block a policy for the entire country.

Chief Justice John Roberts warned a group of graduating laws students Monday that the rule of law is “endangered.” Without naming any names, the conservative justice also said during an event with students at Georgetown University that recent attacks against Supreme Court justices have gone too far.

A federal judge in Pennsylvania ruled in favor of President Donald Trump‘s use of the Alien Enemies Act, marking the first time a judge has approved of the centuries-old law as a tool for expediting deportations of some illegal immigrants.

The Trump administration on Monday asked the Supreme Court to allow it to resume the deportations of nearly 200 Venezuelan migrants detained in Texas, requesting that the court lift its order from last month that temporarily paused the deportation of migrants subject to the Alien Enemies Act.
