Jan 7, 2025 · The LFP battery was used in the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range, no longer on sale in USA. Any other Tesla that is called LR or P has NCA/NMC battery which can be charged to 100% but should be driven shortly after or else there can be an increased long term degradation.

So it will probably be around the same age, and have an average amount of degredation. And from how my own nearly 4 year old battery looks with 6%-ish degredation, you might actually be worse off with a replacement after dropping $20k ...

Dec 21, 2023 · Tesla keeps the battery at a temperature around 50F (10C) in temperatures above -10C (14F) from my testing. At these temperatures the Tesla battery is in the optimal use parameters. What exactly do you think "optimal use" means ? To be noted : "optimal use" shouldn't be seen as the "optimal charging speed".
